You are the new day!

My life is about to start its next chapter. I'm moving out of my house and into Cinnamon tree apartments tomorrow.

I'm working, living in apartments, going to school, being a TA, playing in a frisbee league, playing in a hockey league, participating in my new ward, seeking an eternal companion, trying to make sure that my family knows what I'm doing, and balancing my friends out. This is going to be quite the chapter. What do I want to accomplish?

I want to get married. That is foremost. That's the point of life isn't it? I want to get an A in my philosophy class. I really want to make a lot of friends in my new ward. I need to keep my love up so as to do that. Otherwise I will fail horribly. I don't want to spend too much time on video games. I'd rather read or make music. I want to be an amazing roommate. I want to prepare indefinitely for law school. I want to go over practice exams and questions. I want to learn to think logically as preparation. I want to be the best TA I can be. I want to be faithful in my scripture study and journal writing. I want to be a dependable, loving, and caring person.

I feel like those are only a few goals... sad. There are a few summer activities I'd like to do but I can't really remember the list. And I can't think of a time free when I could do them... Luckily without work on fridays I can always plan for a weekend trip. I wish I were a young men's president... that would be so fun!

Fried

My mind feels fried.

The end.

I'm thinking about all the things that I've done over this last semester and all the things that I have learned and grown in. I'm surprised at the progress that I have made which seemed non existent in the moments. I've read many stories, gone on plenty of dates, got together and broke up again with Amber once and for all, I've learned a few songs, I've increased my piano ability, tennis capacity, racquetball intensity, volleyball extremity, and have improved a lot in hockey.

I achieved the next few goals of my life. I am now scheduled to play hockey on an adult league and frisbee in Orem City League. I want to become a ref for hockey with seminars in August. I have a job and will be taking one class. I'm moving out. I might be a TA for Philosophy. I'm preparing for the LSAT. My ability to use faith and love have increased. My understanding has deepened. I hope to be able to give better service. And there are many plans for the summer, of which include:
Hiking Timp
Hiking the full Y
Planning for grand canyon
Going to Manti for the pageant as well as the temple
Going to the Tucan or Tucon theater
Playing plenty of hockey
frisbee
tennis
raquetball
and swimming now that I'll have a pool
and trying to improve.

My brain feels fried from all that I have read and tried to understand and memorize for the past two weeks, the cumulative fatigue of this last semester's events and productions. I hope to do better in the future.

I wish I could bring myself to write more, to talk more, to be myself more. Takes work and slow but steady progress. I wish I could read more and use my faith more. I wish I could be more diligent and able to write songs and sing at the top of my lungs.

I wish I could be a better friend, more caring, gentle, a better listener. There are a lot of things I wish for myself but how can I help others achieve their goals? Well, the first question in that sphere of life is to learn what their goals are. What do others want to achieve with which I can help? How can I help things come to pass as part of the eternal spectrum, namely strengthening family and friends, and preparing for marriage continually?

I wish I could make more movies and be more confident with writing scripts and dialogue sequences. I wish I could maximize and improve my vocabulary and communication skills. I wish I could increase my rhetoric and ability to explain, to understand hard concepts, to be more persistent and reliable. There are so many wishes.

The fun part is... it's all possible. These are good goals. There is nothing evil about them. That means that the Lord would probably approve and He will help me as I strive to attain them. That's what He does for a living. If we didn't exist than what would He do with all the power and time that He has? We need to serve Him with all our capacity and put Him first, and the miracle is that when we do all these others things come to us more naturally. We find ourselves with more time because our capacity has increased. We find ourselves wanting to help others more and smiling and dancing, singing, acting, laughing, mourning with others, serving them, listening to them because after all, that's what it's all about right?

This last semester I have played quite a bit of video games, learning stories, improving my reaction times, trying to use my memory, increasing my ability to sympathize with some boys.

I've learned a lot and hope to be able to learn a lot, if there is anything virtuous, lovely, praise worthy, or of good report, I seek after this thing. We are suppose to. It is our duty and it is our nature.

Bring on the stories.

Ask any question

Wolframalpha.com is the website that I heard about in my CHUM class that seems to answer any questions.

In a Bind

Do you ever find yourself in a bind?

You've lost all you courage and desire and you just don't know why? After lots of talking with friends I've come to a conclusion. I really am saddened by the end of good things. It's hard for me to confront them. The ward is about to be dissolved and I have met so many amazing people that have made such impacts on my life and it is hard for me to let go. I find that at the end of choir concerts or wards or missions, all of the above, I shrivel up and slowly shrink away. I close down connections. I disappear. It is so hard for me to go out with a bang. It's hard for me to take courage until I am literally in the new situation. My faith dwindles...

Nicole sent me a quote from Either 12 talking about faith. I re realized how much I need faith, not just in the Lord but faith in general, in my life. Sometimes it is not good to plan out the end of a good thing. We just need to reach for the beginning and then let the miracles happen. If it isn't a good thing than we shouldn't do it. If it is a good thing and someone bad happens, you work from there, but you can't let the fear of something bad coming out of a good thing stop you from trying to initiate the good thing, if that even makes sense.

I love stories. And one thing I'd really like to get good at is telling stories. I'd like to increase my faith, my patience, my temperance, my diligence, my charity, and my hope. The only thing I feel to have right now is the hope to have hope, but thanks to Christ, that is enough.

Thanks to Him it is always possible. It is our duty to change and become more like him, full of hope, patient, long suffering, meek, humble. All things are possible to those who believe. So increase the belief. :) It isn't that hard.

Elder's Quorum Game Show music

I have been given the assignment to make a plethora of music to be used at the Elder's Quorum activity. Here is what I had in mind.

"Don't be so serious" - Dark Knight
Bourne Supremecy
Incredibles
Tron
Inception
"Barbossa is hungry" - Pirates
Halo
Hitman Bloodmoney
Lord of The Rings
Mario, Bowswer Theme
Top Gun

That might be too many already but we'll see if we can't fit more in there.

Can I publish?

Ashley sent me this link

fictionpress.com where people can publish what they want. My task is to read a few and try to build up confidence in my own writing.
